The 10-Minute Habit That’s Saving Moms Everywhere

If you feel like you “don’t have time,” this might be the one habit that completely changes your day.

When I started working with moms, I noticed a pattern — almost every mama wanted change, but their lives left them with almost no margin. Between kids, meals, work, driving, cleaning, and just trying to hold it all together… they felt stuck.

So I gave them the smallest, most doable assignment ever: less than 10 minutes a day.

I’ll be honest — I had to test this on myself early in my motherhood days. Exercise and I had a complicated relationship (I’ll write about that soon). But by focusing on just 10 minutes, here’s what I discovered:

  • It removed the pressure of perfection. Small = doable.

  • It favors consistency over intensity. Easy, doable workouts stick, even on busy, hard days.

  • It hacks your brain’s reward system. Finishing something feels good → makes you crave more.

  • It builds identity shifts. “I’m a mom who takes care of herself.”

  • It stacks easily. Today it’s 10 minutes. Next month it’s 15.

Redefining what intentional movement looks like makes it easier to do — and let’s be honest, we all like “easy.”

Here are some examples of 10-minute habits:

  • A quick walk

  • Stretching

  • Breathing / meditation

  • Prepping tomorrow’s lunch

  • Cleaning one zone

  • A short dumbbell circuit

Remember: You’re never behind. You’re just one 10-minute decision away from momentum.

Tell me — what’s ONE 10-minute habit you can start today?
