Lazy-Girl Meal Prep for Busy Moms

Meal prep doesn’t have to be a Sunday marathon or a Pinterest masterpiece.
I always tell my clients: I know how to cook… I just don’t do it. Not because I hate cooking itself, but because the cleanup? Hard pass. Pots, pans, and a sink full of dishes are not my love language especially when you prep for one most nights (hello toddler and a traveling working husband.)
So when I became a mom, I quickly realized that “perfect meals” every night were unrealistic — and honestly, unnecessary. What is realistic is setting yourself up for success. And for me, that meant having simple, ready-made options on hand. Because when something is prepped and waiting for me, my entire week feels 10x easier.
Here’s the lazy-girl meal prep formula I give my clients:
Pick 1 protein (rotisserie chicken, ground turkey, salmon)
Pick 1 carb (rice, sweet potatoes, quinoa)
Pick 2 veggies (pre-cut or frozen = lifesaver)
Pick 1 flavor (pesto, salsa, Greek seasoning, coconut aminos)
Mix + match. Done.
No mom needs to be gourmet. You need easy, doable, supportive food that fuels you.
